EMI(SPIRIT): LINEAGE OF GODS

EMI: LINEAGE OF HEROES.
Introduction

The devil we know is better than the saint we haven't seen.
This greater power is taking a huge revolution.
Our traditions are been ignored
Our gods are dragged to the mud
Ayenireti will fall and fall again
Forgetting your source only dries you up.
Even the Human gods are blinded by love.
They will fall, and might not rise again

CHAPTER ONE
THE WHITE REVOLUTION.
After the fall of Esu, Ayenireti had another decade of peace, new generations are risen, but the former won't let the white revolution rule them, no matter how great their power was, they had one that had protected them before this.

Almost all elderly people gathered in the palace, now that Emi was King, he prospered in all his dealing, but ever since he had seen this greater power, right up his nose, these white men introduced their own belief, their own religion and was he too blind to see it.
"Emi, you have to put an end to this religion the white woman is introducing " An elder spoke angrily.
At first it was only Gloria and three others with her, now they now have a portion of land in Ayenireti where they stay in large numbers, enticing the young and foolish ones with gifts, giving them fashioned clothings just to let them forget the gods of their fathers.
"Emi you fail to see what they are up too" another spoke.
Emi rised from the throne and spoke
"We know they helped us, during our times of trials, you see the good they have done, their method of treating the sick is more efficient than that of Arifalo, our children now speak in their language " Emi said
"Does that justify the reason why my son had to stretch his hand forward to greet me,  Ogun knows I almost killed him yesterday"
"These people are turning our children against us, we are too blind to see it"
Emi sat back rubbing his hand against his head. He knew what they said were right, admitting it was his problem, Gloria had done more good than harm, he knew the elders were only seeking a future for their children.
"Meeting adjourned, let's gather here back at noon tomorrow" He said and dispersed everyone.
Ogunjimi waited behind and followed Emi to his home, non uttering a word.
Ogunjimi opened the bamboo door that lead to the huge compound, allowing Emi go in first.
"Father" IRETI kneeled down to greet and stood up to after the instruction to. "How was the meeting"
"Elders are angry " He replied while Ogunjimi walked in. "You know the only reason we can't reason with the elders"
"You know the elders are right, but if only they knew we are protecting them"Ireti replied
"I personally want them gone, my experience with them ten years ago, I know they will still betray us" Ajanaku said revealing himself sitting on the bench.
"for a man with no heart" Emi said and smiled
"Any words from the gods" Ajanaku asked and stood up
"You know they never get soft easily, they still have issue with Orisa nla" Emi replied. "What off Eri and others"
"Eri lead his troop on hunting trip, Adeshewa is at the backyard, and Remi, well, the kid keeps getting stronger and stronger, here" Ajanaku said raising his cloth to show Emi the scars on his body "The kid almost killed me with his Greater grand beast"
They all laughed at Ajanaku, although they knew no one stone a chance against the seven year old boy.
------
------
The only enemy in ayenireti was now hatred, hatred to the white skins, hatred to the religion, hatred to their culture, hatred to what they brought along, hatred to the hatred they used in selling their fellow blacks to slavery. Although the slavery had greatly died down, it was still done secretly. The golds in ayenireti were still on their mind, but how could they dream of entering such a mighty city.

Gloria stood in the center of the children that sat in a round circle, teaching them from a book that laid on her hand, teaching another man your language could be a herculean task but, these children in ayenireti were extremely brilliant, within a month, they could communicate well, then the second phase of her take began. Teaching them the white man religion. Emi stood from afar with Remi by his side looking at how Gloria thought them diligently.
"Excuse me, seems the King wants to have a word with me" She said and made her way towards Emi. She knelt down and tickled Remi who didn't find fun in what she did.
"Such a serious child" She said and stood up.
"walk with me " Emi offered and lead the way.
"I appreciate what you and your team are doing, but the elders don't think in your own direction" Emi said and glanced at her.
"Why? "
"They demand if you would remain here, you have to stop teaching the children about your culture and religion, and they asked politely because of the love they have for you and you alone" Emi said
"It's not possible, these children are so talented to be camped around the four wall of this city, they posses a hundred percent chance over children from outside ayenireri" She said
"And they believe it's the gift from the gods" Emi said smiling at the compliment.
"I think otherwise, it's from God, you have seem what that power can do,give me a chance to spread it"
"Am sorry but you have to comply" Emi said, tightening his grip on Remi's hand.
"I have a request " she said and continued "Merchants from my country begs access to mine your golds and give half of the income that comes in"
"Trouble" Emi knew he had the in his head and then looked at Remi who gave him a stern look.
"I will discuss it with the elders" Emi said on getting to his horse, he climbed on it and pulled Remi up.
"Thanks" Gloria said wand walked back to where she taught the children.
--------
--------
At first sharing what Gloria asked with the elders and Chiefs seemed like a lot of trouble but he had no option, if this city was going to move well, he needed all hands on deck.
"Now, they are using a nice approach to bring us to our knees,  turn us to a slave within our own eyes " An elders shouted already irritated that Emi could tender such matters
"Remember these people also have resources we need, and what harm will it make, giving them access to our golds, even we don use it or sell it, it's becoming useless to us" another elder said.
"Let's put it to a vote" Ogunjimi said and everyone went silent. It was normal tradition to put issues like this into vote.
----
----
Emi welcomed Gloria into the palace and offered a table with the family, to eat dinner with them.
"When are your people coming " Emi said before reaching for his palm wine.
Gloria looked at everyone with smile in her face.
"Thanks alot, this means much, I will get the message across to them first thing tomorrow"
"But on conditions" Emi replied. And continued "our warriors will oversee all they bring in and out, and anyone that trespass will have themselves to blame" he said and ripped a meat into his mouth. While they talked the other family only listened without uttering a word, a tradition unless your opinion was seemed you don't talk.
------
------
The gates of Ayenireti was wide opened, as white skin men trooped in, in large numbers, they loaded the tools into the different carts and began work immediately. Everyone parents made sure the children had nothing to do with the whites especially the ladies among them, they wouldn't let another affliction rise the second time.
"Norris how is the mining on the other end going?" Gloria asked as she grabbed and helmet from the rack an fitted it on her head.
"Just recorded three hundred carats worth dugged" He replied pointing his hand into the cave and ticked a scroll on his hand.
"keep the record well"
"My duty shifts begins in ten minutes time, please gather everyone out" He said again and went into a tent that stood some meters away from the entrance of the cave.
He opened the calabash that and discovered no water was in it
He sighed feeling depressed, the stream was great deal from here, he looked at the giant watch on the table and decided to get some to drink.
Getting to stream he bent down and dipped the calabash into the stream, beside him was a young lady in her early twenty trying to lift her own calabash to her head, but she found it t difficult.
"Why don't they ask for help?" he asked himself, although he knew the reason but still felt how ignorant they were.
"Because we were asked not to" the lady replied and finally laid the calabash on her head.
Norris was a bit surprised and decided to have a look at her, before he said anything else. This lady really caught his eyes, from the way her dark skin glowed, to the perfection of her slender body, her face was just perfect.
"Hi, am Norris" he introduced himself still standing where he was
"we know who you are" She said and headed her way.
"At least tell me yours" he said and took a step forward.
But to his disappointment she didn't reply and just walked on. He felt it was useless and turned towards his calabash.
"Tejumola " She said without looking back.
Norris felt happy and shouted in return "Thank you".
------
------
Ogunjimi caught up with Emi and passed the scroll over to him, as they both walked out of the arena.
"What's this " emi asked not minding the scroll all he needed was briefing.
"The slave revolution is still on, secretly" Ogunjimi replied and received the scroll back.
Emi paused and looked into the sky, "I thought we took it out for good"
"These people want more and we can't say what they want for sure"
"Woe to the gods, for abandoning us in times of trials like this " Emi said and placed his hand on his beads.
"Gather the gods, we go undercover" Emi said and walked on.
-----
-----
Emi rode with Eri,  IRETI and Ogunjimi, leaving the kingdom into the hands of Adeshewa, decisions now rested on her.
Before dawn they had set out on a journey that takes almost a week. Adeshewa personally took on the responsibility to oversee the work in the mines.
"Today should have been the day you conclude the mining, why do you still continue" She asked a miner that carried a basket full of gold out of the cave.
"woman, just stay quiet" the man replied and laughed and then walked on.
"I asked a question "
"Even the so called Spirit God, couldn't question our duty here"
.......
.......
Norris stood patiently behind the tree that stood at the mouth of the river, he had hoped to see Tejumola again and have a chance to profess why he felt, even when he knew it was a dead task, but all the same he had to try.
He smiled seeing the familiar figure that approached the stream, with a calabash. He didn't hesistate to talk.
"I was beginning to think, I wouldn't see you again" He said and insisted on helping with the calabash.
"Where is your calabash? " Tejumola asked
"I actually waited here for you" he paused and continued, taking every advantage possible, he knew these ladies wanted to socialize, but whatever their parents taught them didn't help matters.
........
........
"How dare you? " Adeshewa shouted and tightened the clothes that covered her chest, leaving her stomach bare, as she walked furious towards him.
WHACCCCKKK Adeshewa found herself laying on the floor.  "Remi" she managed to call out and held tight to her bleeding lips.
"That's how you treat a low bastard" The white skin man said and headed towards the entrance of the cave.
He felt something force, dragged him back against his will, in an instance he was facing a seven year old boy. Remi eyes glowed with no precise color, as they changed really fast, he raised his hands up, at this the man was begin to choke, finding hard to breath,  his face were already red, as his head swelled like they were going to drop.
"Stop it, please stop it" Gloria voice cried from, as she hurried to the scene.
"Let him down " Adeshewa said and continued "I want every single one of you out of Ayenireti this instance, including you, and all golds mined, none must leave this city. " She said and walked out, holding Remi by the hand.
Gloria saw her bleeding lips and broke down in tears, her only hope of trying to prove how good her people were was tarnished.
"What did you do " She asked the man annoyingly and picked a metal from the floor.
"I thought she was just a nobody, I wanted to just scare her"
"Bastard" She screamed and the the iron away
------
------
Emi and his crew decided to rest and re calculate their plans, what years of war have taught them, was your enemies only becomes smarter. Eri returned with a deer on his back and laid the lifeless animal on the ground, then he forcefully pulled out the arrow that was sucked on the neck of the deer.
"I would have gotten a bigger one" IRETI said and pulled out her knife to cut the deer into pieces.
"You finally have a joker for a wife"Ogunjimi said and retrieved his water gourd from the body of his horse.
"I don't know why, but am not at ease, I feel like going back to Ayenireti" Emi said and looked at the direction, where the sun retired into.
"Maybe because if your dear wife, let's eat and strategies,so we can have enough energy to get to our destination tomorrow, latest by noon" Ogunjimi said and sat down closer to the camp fire that was made.
-----
-----
They lost on both sides, the gold, the money, none was worth begging for, Adeshewa already made up her mind and that was a final decision. Gloria on the other hand found it difficult to begin a new journey, she had been with them for long, how could one foolish act cost her so much.
The gates of Ayenireti shut behind them, as the white skin trooped in their numbers back to where they had crawled out from. But something didn't feel right within Adeshewa and her conclusion was maybe her other part felt pity for Gloria, only if she knew she had everything in her thinking wrong.

The gates of Ayenireti shut behind them, as the white skin trooped in their numbers back to where they had crawled out from. But something didn't feel right within Adeshewa and her conclusion was maybe her other part felt pity for Gloria, only if she knew she had everything in her thinking wrong.
At midnight, a loud crash sounded from nowhere in particular shaking all four corners of Ayenireti furiously, the houses that had no strong foundation crumbled with ease to the ground.
Adeshewa rushed out of the palace into the city, dead bodies were being carried out from the crashed houses, while many were injured. She immediately gathered every elders around and Ifagbemi the Chief priest. The palace was immediately illuminated with oil lamps.
"Ifagbemi, what wrong, ask the gods on how behalf " Adeshewa requested.
Ifagbemi immediately brought out a white cloth and spread it and brought out some pebbles and threw it on the white cloth. He squinted his eyes and sighed heavily..
"Death has befall us, who gave Sango bittercola, who poured oil on the devils stone" He thundered angrily.
"Tell us what you see" an elder demanded
"The Shrine has been corrupt"

CHAPTER TWO
WRATH OF GODS
.
.

Emi fell to the ground from his horse to the ground, as blood began dripping from his mouth, as IRETI and Ogunjimi attempted to help him, IRETI also fell to the ground, emitting heat that burned through her cloth.
"What's wrong with them" Eri shouted and alighted his horse
"I don't know" he replied feeling confused as at what happened.
-----
-----
Remi fell down right at the entrance of the shrine, convulsing with no control, Adeshewa quickly ran and picked him up, hurrying into the shrine.
"What is happening to him? "She asked and laid him near Obatala Statue. She then noticed something was missing, an idol was missing
.
.
Ogunjimi carried Emi on his horse,  while Eri laid IRETI on his horse,  while the remaining two horses tagged behind. They entered into the nearest village, and lodged into an inn.
"What could be wrong?" Ogunjimi asked placing his hand on Emi's forehead and then IRETI's.
"Am hoping this has nothing to do with our village" Eri said and laid his bow on the table.
"Ajanaku is there, he will attend to issues" Eri replied, and retrieved an arrow from its quiver.
"all the same we have to return back to Ayenireti" Ogunjimi said and his attention was quickly drawn to something.
"That will be.... " Eri was saying then Ogunjimi raised a finger to signal he should stop talking.
"What's wrong " Eri asked and quickly grabbed his bow.
"Be at alert. Everywhere was noisy, now it's quiet all of a sudden" He said and slowly walked towards the door, with his sword on his left hand.
He was about placing his hand on the door knob, then it suddenly crashed down. He leaped back with quick effect and walked towards the bed while Eri joined him, already placing four arrows on his bow.
-----
-----
Adeshewa requested Ajanaku be summoned while she looked confused even more than Ifagbemi.
"How did two idols miss, Ifagbemi do you understand we are vulnerable to attack, these idols are what keeps the power of our human god's flowing, within them, and two are missing " She said pacing round and round.
"The white skin" Ifagbemi said angrily, stamping his staff on the ground.
Ajanaku entered into the shrine, dragging someone from behind, with the ropes he tied him in.
"I thought I said all your people should leave" Adeshewa shouted angrily.
"Your highness, am sorry, I never knew when that order was passed"
"What's your name? "Ifagbemi asked.
"Norris"
"What do you know about what your people stole from us" Adeshewa asked.
"They stole from us? " Ajanaku asked confused.
"Sango's idol and the grand shell" She replied Ajanaku.
"I swear I know nothing about it, I was with..." He said purposely not completing his statement.
"With who? "Ajanaku asked.
"No one, slip of tongue"
Ajanaku stretched his hand towards Norris, and it began to emit what looked like lightning, and slowly it's grew, the volts charging up.
"Tejumola" Norris said and gulped hard
-------
-------
Three white men dressed in hard body armor, walked in followed behind by a black man. The one in the middle brought out a small sack filled with cowries and handed it over to the man.
"Nice doing business with you" He said as the man thundered out of the room.
"Finally they are making their way into the heart of our fellow" Eri said.
"We need those two " The man said pointing to the bodies on the bed.
Eri drew his arrows further backward, with great force.
"Really" the man said and threw a round object on the floor and then retreated from the room. Then it began to give way to white smoke which quickly spread around the room.
--
---
Adeshewa felt broken, they needed to get back those idols if they would still remain what they were.
"Ajanaku, place warriors to go after the whites and retrieve our god, anyone it is found with must be Slain" She said and turned to Ifagbemi.
"Any other temporary solution "? She asked.
"No, I don't think there is until the gods are retrieved and we must prepare to spill the blood of this demon " Ifagbemi said looking at Norris who already had hot stream of tears flowing from his eyes.
---
---
Eri coughed hard and stood up, seeing Ogunjimi laying asleep, he kicked him repeatedly till he groaned and opened his eyes partially.
"They took them" he said as they both rushed to the reception of the inn, where they believeryone in a merriment spirit.
Eri fired an arrow angrily on a table and everywhere went silent
"Who among you lead the white to us" Ogunjimi shouted
When there was no reply Eri fired another arrow, this time it pierced through the hand of a man that tried to rid them.
"Again" he ordered Eri, who didn't waste time firing another one that pierced the leg of another man.
Dear gripped the soul of other and one muttered
"They promised to free my wife and children, if I told them where they could find the gods" He  said.
"What about the cowries they offered you? "Eri asked.
"Huhn, I didn't get them, so they gave me as compensation "
Eri became angry, these whites are doing grave deeds
"You replaced your family for money " Eri said and aimed at him.
"Wait" Ogunjimi said and pulled the bow down. "Where can we find them? "
"Arewa shores "
SHWAAASSSHHHH Eri released his arrow and it found it way into the right eye of the man, and came out from his head at the back.
------
------
Ajanaku alighted his and placed his hand on the ground, he allowed the sands to freely fall from his handsome then rised to his feet and removed the cloth he tied around his face..

"they are about three miles from us, we have to hurry " he said and climbed on his horse.
---
---
Gloria advised the troop rested a bit, feeling exhausted from the extremely hot sun. They began setting up their tents while other made fire to roast the little meat they had managed to carry along.
"Where is Norris? " Gloria asked noticing he was missing.
"Last I saw him he was screwing with a black girl" one replied making fun of the situation.
"Do you know what you caused me. I have been there for almost seven years, I had no issue and you came for just a week, they sent us out. " she shouted lamenting.
"Chill, we have something more precious than all their golds combined " a man spoke and brought out two wooden images from his sack bag.
"What is That? " Gloria asked with her mouth wide open.
"Some of their gods, this worth almost an island, look, it has true value"
"They are probably following us to get these back" Gloria said and allowed herself to fall with her bottom to the ground and used her hands to rough her head.
"What, they are never going to know, I have never seen anyone enter there throughout the years I have been there"
Just then they could see thick dusts in the air, and gradually the galloping of the horses grew louder.
"This is the end" Gloria said.
"No, it's not, I studied them for long enough to know their weakness, I already sent message to Lord Fredrick, am sure an attack is being laid at the city right now" the one with the idol said

-----
“Your Highness, we are under attack, they already know what would bring us down” A soldier spoke, with signs of fear in him.
“Gather every warrior, and proceed random attack” She said and walked out of the shrine. She took another bitter look at Norris and walked out.
Norris knew he didn’t have long to live, his people would take power by force, he knew what they were capable of. They never retreat till they have true dominance on what they desire.
Adeshewa climbed to the top of the wall, with her sword in her hands, she walked to where the archery leader stood.
Their opponents, came  in large troop, the weapons from last war, rolled in their midst, this time it stood bigger, which means its effects will cause great wreckage.
“What do we do?” The archer leader asked.
“Do what you do best, your arrow should spare no living soul” She said and nodded to him to carry on his orders.
“AIIIIMMMMM” He screamed loudly and brought his raised fist up, and dropped it.
SWISSSH, SWASSHHH, FLIIIIPPP came the sounds of arrows as they fired with great strength.
----
“Raise shield” the leader of the white army shouted, and immediately, they raised their shields above their heads, allowing the arrow to only have impact with their metal shields.
Adeshewa felt dejected, these people had only come back wiser.
“Open the gates, spare none of them”.
Ayenireti’s soldiers dashed out of the city towards their opponent, with the clashing of swords and metals, they laid waste to themselves.
Adeshewa bent down, dodging the sway of sword that came her way, and immediately, slashed her opponents in the stomach.
AAAHH She groaned and slit the throat of another, IIAAH, her blade went between her armpits and found its way into the stomach of another soldier.
With great efforts she laid waste to her opponents, without her blade going twice on one person, one slash brought down one man.
A great force pulled her to the ground, the man on the horse smiled wickedly and spoke.
“Such a brave woman” The thick bearded man, who lead the white army said, and …….
SWWAAAACCCHHHED……… His sword pierced Adeshewa’s stomach and came out from her  back, he ruggedly pulled it out and SHHHUUCCCKK he pierced her again.
Adeshewa slowly fell to the ground, and THUUUDD she fell, blood streaming out of her eyes, before her eyelid closed, she saw how the white had over come them, right in her face, her soldiers fell…..

CHAPTER THREE
DEATH TO THE GODS
Eri suddenly halted his horse, and placed his hand on his chest the part where his Hell Stone laid. Ogunjimi stopped also, noticing the act.
"What's wrong we are almost there" He said and became confused seeing tear drop from Eri's eye.
"Adeshewa is dead" He silently said and slowly moved his horse on.
Ogunjimi stood still, trying to make sense out of what Eri said.
"How sure are you? "
"I promise these whites death to their unborn children " He said and kicked his horse, and bolted with great speed and fierce towards their destination.
-----
-----
Ajanaku alighted his horse and walked towards the camp alongside with the soldiers that followed him. Seeing Gloria he walked up to her
"Your people have something that belongs to us" He said calmly.
"I have no idea, what you are saying" Gloria responded and smiled at him.
"Can we search" Ajanaku asked.
"No"
"Am sorry, I only asked because i respect you, don't try to stop me " He said and signalled to his men to b egg in search...
"Owa nibi (It is here)" He said, he could feel the flow of the idol energy in him.
"Check her tent " He said
"You won't do that" Gloria said standing in their way.
Ajanaku pushed her fragile body aside and entered into her tent, he walked slowly to where she laid her scrolls and didn't waste time in bringing out an idol.
"Traitor" He shouted and walked out angrily, lighting Bolt in his hands
-----
-----
Lord Fredrick, sat himself on the throne, smiled and rised.
"Move this throne out, replace it with the softest leather we have, and all these attires and skin should be burnt" He said and walked out the palace.
"Take the girls, have fun,  load the men into the mines, make them work their bones out".
Norris stood speechless, he felt helpless, he felt he needed to do something but who was he, the kind of pain his people afflicted Ayenireti, wasn't what he signed up for.
"Boy" Lord Fredrick walked up to him and placed his hand on his shoulder. "Go have fun " He said and left him.
------
------
Getting to the shores, from distance away, Eri alighted his horse with tears in his eyes, he retrieved an arrow from its quiver and continued to walk on.
"Eri stop,  we need a plan" Ogunjimi said and ran after him.
"I have a plan already"
"Which is"
"Kill them all" Eri replied with batting an eye at Ogunjimi.
Eri pulled his arrow with great effort, from the distance he was, the only impact the arrow could have was have a scratch on the body of the ship, but something in him urged him to release and he did.
SWAAACHHHED the arrow left the now and pierced through the air, and before getting to the ship, it formed a large inferno in a ball shape..
Gbaaammm!!!!!!! The impact was made boring huge holes into the ship and roughly shook it on the water. ..
"What's that " A soldier from inside the ship asked. And peeped through the window of the ship, towards the direction where the force had come through.
"Damn, these scavengers, all men attack, and keep these prisoners here" He said and ran towards the way out.
--------
------
"Drop you weapon"
Ajanaku saw all his men were already overpowered, with swords on their next, threatening to kill them.
"You are all part of this " He said asking Gloria.
"My life is also at stake here" She said and pressed the dagger a little on the neck of the one she held, making a slight cut.
"Where is the second idol" He asked.
"Dude, drop your sword to the ground and throw that idol here" a man said
"Never"
SLASSH!! the throat of a soldier was split.
"If I ask again another dies"

-------
-------
Eri walked up the wooden stairs that lead to the dock of the ship, with two arrows in his hands, while his bow hunged from his back. He went into killing rage, swiftly  he dodged the guns fired at him, rolling with swift reflex, he caught a soldier by the legs and pulled him to the ground and drove an arrow into his skull, and raised the body up, using it to defend himself from the approaching bullets, he threw the body with him at another and quickly grabbed a gun, and pulled the trigger. Feeling impressed by outcome of the weapon he made for another, two guns with him, he stechted his hands sideways, pressing the triggers repeatedly and slightly moving to the jerking impact. He brought them down standing on a spot.
Ogunjimi descending into the cabin of the ship, slashing his enemies easily as he made his way, checking room after room till he got to where Emi and IRETI laid.
------
------
Ajanaku threw the idol towards the man and lowered his weapon, what he needed next was a better plan, and suddenly he became invisible.
"What just happened? " A man asked feeling scared.
The Man with the idol, smart enough he brought out the idol and raised it up.
"Show yourself or I break this" He said and turned in circles. One after another, the whites began to go limp, and feel to the ground, with blood oozing from their necks..... And CRAAAAACCCKKKK, the Man wasted no time, he broke the idol into two halves.
"NOOO!!! " Gloria screamed and ran towards the man.
"It still has it sales value " He said and Ajanaku revealed himself, with his mouth widely opened and an expression of anger.
"Death to the gods" Ajanaku said and walked back slowly.
The sky in a quick pace started giving way to dark thick clouds that completely covered the sun, and everywhere was in total darkness, thunder furiously stroke, from one end to another..
Confusion fell on them, as everyone ran to nowhere in particular. Whole Ajanaku stood speechless, already knowing the end would be tragic.
-----
-----
Norris picked up Remi's lifeless body and laid him on his wooden bed, checking his temperature, it was drastically high, then suddenly he could feel cold winds blow at first then the sun suddenly disappeared, he hurried out of his tent to have a view outside, and then rushed back in only to find Remi already on his feet, with his eyes burning like hot coals, he slowly walked closer trying to put his hand on Remi's shoulder, he turned to a statue and then broke to pieces.
-----
-----
Ajanaku quickly gathered the idols and placed them nearer to each other and then found a cloth to bound them tightly. Then he found a horse in the dark and rode towards Ayenireti.
-----
-----
Eri supported ogunjimi bringing Emi and IRETI to the shores, they both raised their heads up and saw as the dark clouds covered everywhere in quick pace.
"What's wrong? " Eri asked and looked back only to find both Emi and IRETI standing to their feet, with their eyes burning with fury.
Emi fell to his knees and his eyes became normal, as did IRETI also.
"Your son is going to kill everyone" Emi said looking at Eri and then to IRETI who also fell to her knees.
"He is blocking our access into the power realm,  we can't draw any power" IRETI replied.
Eri felt helpless, bad news after another, how would he tell Emi that his dear wife was dead, just then Ogunjimi broke the news.
"Adeshewa is dead".
Emi smiled at first and then realised the expression on their face were real.
"Tell us it a lie" IRETI said and crawled towards Eri.

TBCAjanaku rode furiously in the dark, to join the gods with the others in the shrine before it was too late, suddenly the sack where he kept the idols loosed from the body of the horse.
"Noo, no" he mumbled and halted his horse and quickly alighted.
"How do I find them in the dark, even in sand " he lamented and began using his hands to trail the sand for the idols. He looked towards Ayenireti and could see Flame from the distance he was, he knew death had befall all those in the city. He continued his search and luckily he found both idols still tied together, he made to his horse and only to see it was gone.
"What in Obatala name is happening? " he questioned, using his beast soul was out of options, he would die before he reached there, since his heart was no more. Then he began running as fast as his legs could carry him.
------
------
Remi slowly walked towards the palace, as every house that he passed through went up in flames, every soldiers that neared him were burnt to ash. Nothing could calm him everyone shares in the sins of the white, even the dear ones of Ayenireti were brought down dead.
"That child must not get to the Palace "Lord Fredrick ordered and went to the backyard where they had held everyone prisoner, he made them form a wall before him, thinking if Remi would notice his people and cool.
Remi got to the palace and folded his hands tightly as everywhere suddenly went up in flames
AHHHHHHAHHGHH!!! lord Fredrick could hear the horrible screams from where he was.
----
-----
Ajanaku felt relieved as he neared Ayenireti, he bent down to relax, then he knew the time was not now, noticing countless of bodies lying on the floor. He tried gathering his strength, just then he heard horses approached him.
"Ajanaku what's wrong" Emi asked as they neared him.
"The whites, they separated our gods, I just got it back, and now another trouble " he said.
"I understand, then another set came in to overpower us while you were gone, and now Adeshewa is dead" Eri said.
"Impossible" Ajanaku said
"It's true, how do we get in, Remi is blocking us from accessing our power realm, and he is going to kill every single soul inside" Emi said looking at Ajanaku.
"What, you know Yemoja removed my heart, I can't access the realm also"
-------
------
Remi entered into the slaves yard and halted.
"That's it boy, you wouldn't want to wipe an entire village out of existence" Lord Fredrick said laughing uncontrollable.
Remi continued to walk closer, the prisoner could control how they wept, the end was here already and they had to take it in good faith.
----
Ayenireti's gate fell down to the ground, raising dust in the air and quickly they all ran in.
"Is that the hell Stone or you? " IRETI asked.
"We have to calm our son before he kill us all, he is in the palace" Eri said and took the turn towards the palace road.
---
---
Remi smiled wickedly and raised his hand up, as a great inferno in a whirlwind manner, formed from nowhere standing between him and Lord Fredrick.
Eri and the rest raised the heads up, as the inferno greatly overpowered the darkness.
"What is he doing? " Ogunjimi shouted
"Killing everyone, I think we are too late" Emi said.
Remi shouted in agony and pushed his hands forwards, and..... whhaaaammmmm.  The inferno went forth and in a minute it died down, it sucked all living soul before it dry, turning their body to complete ash.
Emi kicked the door that lead to the slave yard open and saw Remi standing with burning flames on his hand.
"Remi" Eri and IRETI called out in unison. "What have you done? " IRETI asked and ran up to him.
"Mama, what happened, am scared" Remi said and hugged his mother tightly.
Just then the dark clouds began to fade away. The made their way outside the palace and the waste Remi laid to the entire village made their spirit be in pains, the city they had suffered for, now gone with no living soul. A paper got stuck to Ajanaku's leg and he bent down to pick it.
"Emi you have to see this" he said and gave it to Emi.
Emi read the message and tears dropped his eyes.
"King Adele, is the one behind the slavery and all, wanting total dominance"
"What next, what we fight for is gone " Ogunjimi said
"Let's find Adeshewa's body, then everyone who caused this will die one by one by my sword"
.

CHAPTER FOUR
A LEADER WITH NO FOLLOWER
-----
The whites are not fully to be blamed.
The foolishness that lies within the heart of our breathren
Must be Casted far from them
Wanting power has made them blind
And it will cost them all they have.
One by one they shall be pulled down.
They shall pay dearly for killing everything we worked for
The whites also wanting to reap where they didn't sow
We understand
What it means conquering mighty ones
You brought Ayenireti down
Your fall will be mightier.
Through the hands of leader with no follower.
-----
-----
Emi really pained in his heart, poured the last of the sand on Adeshewa's grave and began laying stones around it, while others stood few metres away from him, laying the stones with heavy burden he swore to put every soul that brought their downfall. IRETI and Eri walked up to him, holding his hands, they slowly pulled him and took their leave out of the ruined city.
"We could stay with Bidemi for the time being and till we get back to our feet" Ogunjimi said as he climbed his horse.
"Thank you" was all Emi could mutter, he raised Eri on his horse and followed behind Ogunjimi.
IRETI looked at Eri and sighed heavily, then slowed her horse behind, so Eri could catch up.
"we need to talk about our son" IRETI said with concern.
"What about him? "
"Don't pretend like you don't know" IRETI said with a irritated look.
"Can we schedule that for later, we still have lot to sort out" Eri said.
"No, I want to talk about it now " She pressed on "He denied us access in our power realm, you know we should not let him have access to his true powers"
Eri hastened his horse faster trying to avoid IRETI's talk. IRETI also hastened and continued.
"Do you know he killed more than five thousand souls in minutes, burnt them like they were nothing"
Eri stopped and faced IRETI with tears in his eyes and he spoke.
"Do you think I will forgive myself for that, he now knows what true power feels like, do you think am less concerned " Eri said trying to calm himself on the other hand IRETI regretted she brought the matter up and felt guilt pierce her heart.
"You two are lagging behind " Ajanaku shouted at them.
----
----
Ogunjimi lead the way into a compound, which had five huts facing each other in a circle and led them in the huge one that stood in the middle.
"Bidemi" he called out and went into other rooms. Emi made himself comfortable on a stool with Remi on his laps, while Ajanaku and the rest also made themselves comfortable, emi could feel all eyes were on little Remi who cuddled himself around his grandfather.
"Can we straight out matters" Ajanaku said and pointed at Remi.
Just then two children a boy and a girl ran in to the hut.
"Mama you have visitors " The girl shouted loudly and moved back towards the door
"Twins " Ogunjimi said and showed himself, embracing his children tightly,
"there that's Remi the grandson of the human god" Ogunjimi said "Remi follow them,  let them show you around" He said.
As soon as the children went out Emi spoke.
"There is no matter to straight out, other than go down to Adele's kingdom and lay waste to it" Emi said slowly.
"Emi, if you decide to be blind to real facts, our lives are at stake" Ogunjimi said leaning against the wall.
"Tell me what am I blind to, I lost the only thing that mattered to me, what calmness do you seek from me" Emi asked,
"You know we still follow you and now more than ever we should protect this people, those that are ignorant to this threat" Ajanaku replied.
Ogunjimi walked out to monitor the children and after some minutes he ran back in
"The children are gone" Ogunjimi said.
"Maybe they went to Ja be a nice time outside with their new friend" IRETI replied comfortably
"No,  my children will always seek permission before leaving this compound" Ogunjimi said and reached for his sword and ran out, following behind him the entire family.
----
----
"Let him go, he is the grandson of the human god" The boy shouted as Remi was forced on a horse..
"Take the girl also" The man on the horse said and pointed to the cart filled with children.
Ogunjimi pressed his way into the crowd, trying to have a view of what was wrong and why people gathered.
"Your king can no longer safe you, you know belong to Adele and most importantly your tax has just risen, no more cowries, each household now pays monthly due of 30 gold coins, failure to do so means death to your entire household " the man said, and adjusted his helmet
"Even if you sell our land for thirty times its normal value, we still can met up with that demands " an aged man lamented from the crowd.
"Old man, if you want your family to live, then pay "
"Tell who sent you, nobody pays tax in this village " a voice said from the crowd.
The crowd murmured at this word and paved way to the direction the voice had come from.
"Who are you? "
"Find out yourself" Emi said and charged his beast soul, allowing thunder Bolts through them, beside his was IRETI who also turned her eyes red and on the right was Eri with his big and arrow which instantly caught up in flames, the Ajanaku beside him, wild wind howling from nowhere and the Ogunjimi. All with indescribable anger in them, they only needed a victim to loose it on.
In less than three minutes, the gathering was disbanded, like nobody was there beforehand. The Man placed a knife on Remi's neck while his soldiers drew their swords in attack position.
"Kill the all" Ogunjimi said with total hatred.
Emi leaped into the air and landed before the horse of the leader, no hesitation he pulled him down with one hand,  and
SWWWAAACCCHHHED he landed his feet heavily on the man's face, and squashed it into a thousand pieces, he growled angrily and charged towards another.
Eri fired arrows at the padlocks that locked the cage where the children were kept prisoner, while IRETI led them away from the bloody fight.
Ajanaku on the other hand fought like a wild boar,  using his shoulder to hit his opponent, and immediately they fell he made sure their head were denied by the neck. In less than a minute, every opponent were dead.
----
----
The villagers gathered also in groups again, surrounding their saviours.
"As from today, you have nothing to fear" Emi shouted trying to encourage them.
"You put us at risk, as powerful as your lineage is, you couldn't safe Ayenireti, we don't want that for us, better let us work as slaves than ride to freedom with you, then let your grandson lay waste to all of us " a lady shouted angrily.
Emi couldn't feel his legs, those words nailed him on the wrong path,  his anger rised and thunder Bolt cracked from almost all his body
"Prove what you are" the lady said again and slowly everyone walked back to their hut feeling disappointed
----
-----
"We can't stay here" Emi said, and stood up frombthe wooden stool, after eating the food Bidemi served them "Am sorry we caused you incovienence " he said staring at Ogunjimi and then to his children then to Bidemi
"Is it true that, you killed everyone in ayenireti? " Ogunjimi's girl child asked Remi.
"Shewa, to your room and you too, Ayo" he said and looked sadly at Emi.
"What's next"
"Adele, I think Ogunjimi can stand up for his family" Emi said
"Am staying behind" Ajanaku declared and all eyes fell on him.
"This is not for me" Ajanaku said and patted Emi on the shoulder. "I will start a new life here"
"What kind of life father? "Eri asked confused.
"I miss being a warlord" Ajanaku said knowing fully well only Ogunjimi and Emi understood what he meant by that.
"I will journey alone, you shouldn't bear my cross, continue a new life here or somewhere else" Emi said and dropped Remi
----
----
Emi set out on his journey, he knew it would be a very tough task for one man, but he had to fulfil a promise he made, which was drive back the whites and teach his ignorant fellow a bitter lesson. He slowly advanced to the border of another city and rode in, seeing the hardship that Adele Casted on them only angered his spirit.
"You" a soldier shouted confronting him before he could advance the gate. Emi halted his horse and waited patiently for the soldier to walk up to him.
"Let me see your face" He ordered Emi to remove the cloth he wrapped around his face.
Emi did as instructed and smiled at the soldier
"Today isn't the market day"
"Am on a journey and I decide to rest here for a day" Emi replied and stretched out a sack of gold to the soldier, who received it joyfully.

"Have fun my friend" the soldier replied and gave emi passage.
Emi slowly pulled his horse behind him,  on every corner of the street was hardship, soldiers brutally lashing their fellow brothers hard for not meeting demands, old aged human dragged against the ground, Adele was now turned to a fearful Demi god. Emi softly caught a lady that was pushed roughly across his path and helped he stand to her feet.
"Are you well" He asked with a gently voice.
"No one is well in this village, stranger" the lady replied
Emi pulled her by his side, as the soldiers that molested her walked towards him.
"Give the lady back" They ordered Emi and withdrew their swords.
"Why, why do these people find pleasure in inflicting pain" surely the whites weren't as brutal as what Emi witnessed
"Who do you work for" Emi asked and looked at his horse "Look after her" he said and walked forward.
"Why do you ask? " one soldier asked arrogantly.
"I need you to deliver a message to him, from the Lineage of gods" Emi said and almost with the speed of light he, grabbed both of them by the neck with both hands and slammed them on the ground. He held the legs of the one on his right and twisted it.
CRAAAACCCKKKK!! The sound came out terribly with the bones springing out of the flesh.
ARRRGGGGHHJHH!! the soldier shouted horrible with dear pains running through every inch of his body and soul.
Emi walked towards the other, who had began crawling to safety
"Please, please, ayemi ooo " he lamented
Emi moved his towards a stake and found a rope to tie his neck with and SWWWIIIIPPPP he raised his body IP the stake with the rope, while the other end stocked tightly to the soldier's neck. Emi watched him as he struggled for breath and slowly life creeper out of him.
Emi found a horse and laid the other soldier on it and patted the horse hard, making it gallop furiously.
"Aje " Emi called out to his horse which slowly advanced towards him, he climbed on it, ignoring the staring crowd
---
---
King Adele felt unease at the sight of his soldier that stood in front of him, he knew who this human god was, now only one was coming for him,  what about if they whole lineage was after him.
"Double the work load on the villagers, gather their children and bring them here and kill this fool"
Adele looked angry and walked closer to a white man in the court.
"I thought your people had these gods down already" He said in a whisper tone.
"We will see to that" the white man replied and watched as King Adele walked out of the palace.
---
---
Emi has wine coming from different people trying show sign of appreciation
"Move back all of you, I was the one who brought him to the city" the lady he had defended said, pushing her way through the crowd in the bar.
"Kokoro " they all murmured and gave way to her.
"What do you want from Adele I can get you informations" She said and gulped down a drink.
"How can I get to him? " Emi asked now paying full attention to her
"Five minutes of giving information cost 2 gold coins" She said and looked at the act coins with Emi.
"Talk"
"You pay first"
Emi brought out 12 gold coins and and slid them towards her "Talk"
"Kind Adele, lives at the highest top chain of merchants and what he needs is total dominance, so he hired white folks from oversea with high power to help him overtake in exchange he allowed them access to valuable spoils"
"Tell me something I don't know" Emi said and collected back his gold coins.
"Cheat" she shouted and tried collecting them back
"How old are you? " Emi asked
"Twenty five "
Emi smiled and looked closely at her "Your bones would be very easy to break, such smooth face" Emi said and pointed a finger that cracked with thunderbolt at her face.
Kokoro shifted a bit feeling nervous, she spoke "The only way to stop Adele is to drive back the white, they are the only source of his power, and you will take the pain riveter the cities he had already conquered"
Emi smiled and passed the coins to her.
"You will be my journey companion "emi said and passed a gourd to her.
"Journey with a god, good, where are the other gods"
"Starting a new life and liberating others"
----
----
THE PAST NEVER DIES
Eri handed over three sacks of gold coins to the fat man, he had acquired a large plot of land which already had five large hut built on it and on the far rear he thought of starting to rear animals and put them for sale.
"You have to sign here" the man said and ordered ink and writing feather and passed it to Eri alongside with an agreement scroll.
After the agreement was made,  Eri received the necessary document and left with his son.
"I hear some rumors" the man said and Eri halted to listen to him.
"What? "
"You are from the lineage of the gods" The man said and after some minutes without getting any reply he continued "Be care not to step on our feet here"
"Have you forgotten, we liberated you from Adele " Eri said and walked towards the man.
"Am just saying"
"You couldn't free yourself from a mere human, what makes you think you can step in a god " Eri asked and placed his hand on the man's chest, who by now was sweating profusely.
"Ife" IRETI called from outside the hut, knowing fully well, what was going inside.
Eri took another dreadful look at the man and then smiled, all he needed was fear to be built in him and that was already successful.
----
----
Emi rode with Kokoro who was already exhausted from the hot sun accompanied with the heat the desert sand emitted.
"How much farther? " Emi asked still seeing the vast desert before them
"Before noon, but am exhausted " She replied and leaned weakly on her horse.
"Here" Emi said and handed her water.
"Where we journey to is like the most civilized part where both white and black live in peace" She said
"It contradicts" Emi replied and knew it was part of Kokoro's sugar coated words.
------
------
Ajanaku within that very shirt tike frame had acquired more than 30 hooligans in his crew, doing the work of salvation, they now toured from one village to another,  driving Adele's soldier out.
"Who else remains? " Ajanaku asked, shouting hard with his swords raised into the air, he brought it down with quick reflex he slashed two soldiers at the same time, splitting them into halves.
Cities where their King were already dead, he renamed them as Ayenireti.
"We have come a long way to give you freedom" He shouted and continued "We need no money from you, we need no food, but, you shall not be known as citizens of Ayenireti, and after the great war, we shall merge together, you shall remain here till your King returns from his long journey" Ajanaku declared.
---
---
Kokoro's spirit lightened, seeing their destination distance away, she geared her horse happily. Emi hurriedly picked pace after her and in no time caught up with her.
"Calm, the horses are not meant my for vigorous work like this" he said and slowed her down.
Steadily the approached the city, from calculation, Emi reasoned it to almost a hundred times larger than Ayenireti, he know could understand how Adele had succeeded in getting the whites to do his bidding.
Entering into the city, the faced no hinderance as everyone moved freely to and from.
"Emi" Kokoro called out, drawing his attention away from his thought.
"See" She said and pointed forward to the billboard that had inscription neither emi or Kokoro could read
"Please, can you read out that sign? " Emi pleaded with a girl that ran around aimlessly.
"THE BOTTOM CITY " she read out, seeing the puzzled look on their faces she explained
"This part is where the poor reside, further is the gate that borders us and the rich and you can only enter if you have something great value to offer" She said.
Emi dipped his hands into his gold sack and gladly handed the girl 10 gold coins and three silver coins.
"This could acquire us much" the girl said and dashed off another direction.
"You spend like you still have more" Kokoro said feeling jealous.
Emi only ignored her as he gently rode his horse looking for an inn to lay his head and rest.
-----
-----
Eri raised to stretch his back, so as to relieve himself from the ploughing of the field and making of heaps.
"Just a hundred and you are tired" IRETI said also raising up with her hoe hanging on her shoulder
"Ahh, well there is no competing with a god, and you only made 500 heaps, what's new" Eri said defending himself.
"and you did just fifty" IRETI replied.
"Where is Remi? "
"With the twins" IRETI replied and walked towards their hut.
"When are the hens and cows going to come in"
IRETI slowly turned back and replied "latest by noon"
Just then Ogunjimi ran into the compound sweating, he closed his right eye as salty sweat dropped into it.
"ERI!! " he shouted and staggered towards their direction.
They both ran unto him and rested him on the floor.
"The whites, Adele's army, are in town already, killing everyone, they are not here for slaves"
"How large are they " IRETI asked
"more than two thousand "
Eri looked puzzled, and said
"Ajanaku isn't around we need every hand on deck, go get Remi " Eri said
IRETI looked at him and spoke angrily
"I won't let you involve him in this, the more blood he takes the more vicious he becomes, we are not involving him" IRETI said and turned back only to see Remi standing some meters away from them.
-----
-----
SWWIIISSHHH! Eri fired his arrows relentlessly, he quickly made his way to a high spot getting a better view at his opponents, he knew they were only here to bring fear into them even knowing fully well, they stood no chance, but ignorantly they followed blind orders.
IRETI freed her beast soul, which in form of a hideous beast, having three heads, on each head was a horn in the middle, it stood on four hinds, wings of an eagle. The beast snarled angrily, as different slash came on its body, it stamped it feet hard on the floor and charged furiously, each collision, sending about a dozen to the ground. IRETI held a soldier's neck under her armpit and used her other hand to hit hard on the stomach of the soldier, sending his back bone, out from the body.
Ogunjimi fell hard to the ground, and rolled dodging the swords that were swinged at him. The soldiers that attacked him, didn't relent and attempted to stab him. The soldier suddenly split blood from his mouth and fell to the ground, with white fumes coming out from his forehead. Ogunjimi slowly stood up, seeing Remi whose eyes were as hot as coal.
"Uncle, I thought you never loose guard" Remi said and stretched his hand to help Ogunjimi up. He effortlessly raised Ogunjimi to his feet and faded through him, Ogunjimi turned only to see Remi holding someone and splited him into two halves and shot something that looked like fire from his eyes towards the ones that attempted to attack.
Eri leaped from where he was and joined IRETI who rode on her beast soul.
"We have to drive them out from the village " Eri said and shot his arrows, as the beast rammed anyone on its way.
Remi elevated into the air, his body taking another shape, his body suddenly looked like it was coated with gold, making him look much glorious as the sun illuminated on him, he elevated the more as all eyes Now focused on him.
"He gets stronger everyday " Adeshewa said and halted her beast soul.
"What is he doing? " Eri asked and fired another arrow at a soldier that was fully focused on the sight before him.
Remi pulled his hands forward and immediately a whirlwind began to form, and it immediately dawned on his enemies that the life was at stake.
"Retreat" A soldier shouted and geared his horse out of the city. Remi moved his hands in a circular pattern and the whirlwind became even bigger, and he moved into the whirlwind, which moved furiously, and splited into almost a hundred more, it whirled furiously at the enemies, the force pulling them into it and what came out of the whirlwind was rain of blood.
"You have to stop him" IRETI said, noticing Remi was already going out of control, after he had uprooted a hut from its foundation.
Eri retrieved four arrows from its quiver and shot them one after the other at Remi. The first one missed, the second also both the third and the fourth.
"I have never missed a target" he said bitter and gave another four show again. IRETI moved about seven steps backward and ran with the speed of light and leaped into the air, she quickly grabbed an arrow that flew past her and dived into the whirlwind Remi was in and drove the arrow on his leg, and immediately all whirlwinds died down, but not without leaving a lot of damages on the huts, and on their enemies.
THUDDD!! ireti landed on the ground, boring a hole on the ground, cuddling Remi into her arms she slowly stood up, with the help of Ogunjimi.
She looked at Eri and he immediately knew what she meant, she now blamed him for what Remi did.
Eri slowly walked towards her and received Remi from her, without saying a word he carried Remi away.
CHAPTER SIX
OLD GIFT
Ajanaku returned back to the city with his band and headed straight to Eri's home.
Remi sat in meditation position alongside his father on a mat in front of their hut, noticing Ajanaku'spresence, Remi jumped to his feet and quickly prostrated.
"Remi, the great and mighty, I have seen your handwork as I arrived" Ajanaku said, and tickled Remi who laughed heartily wriggling his body.
"Father" Eri said and stopped from the mat, "how did you parade go "
"thirteen cities liberated, lost two good fighters" Ajanaku replied "Remi, please get me water"
Ajanaku made sure he continued once Remi was out of sight.
"Your son gets stronger, and for his young age, that kind of power will only drive him mad" Ajanaku said, using his eyes to monitor when Remi would bring the water.
"Am worried also, you should see him yesterday, he almost killed us all"

"What are you doing about it? " Ajanaku asked
"I already started meditation with him,  even him does not know all the powers he have" Eri replied
"Baba" Remi said and ran out with a calabash full of water, he mistakenly tangled his leg with the edge of the mat, which tripped him forward, throwing the calabash from him, suddenly everything seemed to have paused, Remi quickly grabbed the calabash and retrieved back the water, without any single drop falling ti the ground.
"Here" Remi said and handed over the wate  to Ajanaku.
Both ajanaku and Eri stood speechless, then Ajanaku spoke and received the water from Remi.
"Remi seat down near me " Ajanaku said stating deeply at him and continued "Do you know the greatest weapon of a man is his mind" Ajanaku said
"How? "Remi asked confused by what his grandfather said.
"Do you also know when we all die, you will be the one to lead a million followers"
"That will be too much of people to control " Remi said smiling
"That's why as noon today, I will teach you how to use and control your powers and we will know what you are capable of" Ajanaku said and was relieved Remi liked the idea
"Thanks baba, that means that the man in white that I always see when I use my powers won't tell me anything about the great war that is coming" Remi said excitedly
Eri was speechless same as Ajanaku, the question that bothered them were, who was the man Remi spoke of, this great war has been from as long as they could remember, even King Iretiola talked about it, and lastly what else was Remi seeing and wasn't telling them
"How come you never told anyone till know " Eri asked annoyed
"Because no one among you all will be alive to witness it, at least that was what Obatala told me" Remi replied
"Go and get prepared for evening, rest so you can have enough strength to catch up" Ajanaku said.
Remi stood up and walked down to the part where they reared their cows to tend to their needs of any
"At this point we have to thread carefully, him seeing Obatala means something bigger than us is going to happen" Ajanaku said and patted Eri on the shoulder "I will have to leave now, I have things to do"
----
----
Emi toweled his face and walked into the room, where he and Kokoro had lodged. Emi admired himself in the mirror that hanged from the wall of the room, he hadn't changed much, at forty eight, he looked like he was still in his early thirty
"How do We get into the so called rich city? " Kokoro asked, and headed into the bathroom to also have her bath, tying a wrapper around her waist.
"I have a better way of getting in"
"Which is? " Kokoro asked
"Am going to sell you" emi said and faked a wicked smile on his face.
"Do they rear mad people in your family? " Kokoro asked angrily and banged her hand on the wall.
"What better option do we have, slave trade is a hundred percent allowed in there" Emi said and turned to look at her.
"Are you selling me for real? " Kokoro asked with sadness written all over her face.
"Yes, you should worth 100 gold coins, you are beautiful, well structured and full, elegant lady, I think you should worth more, if I sell you to sex slavery" Emi said with seriousness in his face.
"Am leaving" Kokoro said and headed back to the room.
"I was joking actually, but we enter with you as pass" Emi said and smiled at her.
----
----
Ajanaku threw a long pole at Remi, who caught it skillfully, rolling it with one hand, he moved it towards his back and bent a little allowing the pole to flow around his back and back to his hand.
"Nice move,  who taught you that? " Ajanaku asked.
"I am paramount " Remi replied and smiled
"First thing you have to know about the realm is that, you have to attach something you love to the realm, so you can easily come out of it, befire you kill everyone you love" Ajanaku said and continued "Now tell me, what do you love "
"Orun(Sun),my horse, father said I could ride it, once it's strong enough" Remi said.
"Good, now attack me with all you have" Ajanaku said.
Remi screamed loud raising the pole with him high in the air, and swayed it at Ajanaku who dodged it and spanked him on the head with his own pole
"To enter into the realm, you have to know what you are fighting for and the reason why you are" Ajanaku said and sweeper Remi off his feet.
Remi made a loud sound as he fell, Ajanaku almost immediately changed his pole at him "You have to be ready always"
Remi rolled into the air and landed steady on his feet, Ajanaku charged a thunder Bolt through the pole and fired it at Remi, who quickly somersaulted dodging the blot, another came at him and he made his hand into a circular movement, controlling the thunder Bolt Ajanaku charged at him and made it larger with more than enough charge he fired it Ajanaku, who was unable to match with the speed, the thunder Bolt threw him into the air, and stamped him hard against the ground
"Grandpa hope you are not dead yet" Remi said giggling loud.
Ajanaku strianed and managed to stand up
"I thought you were a novice,  tell me you want me dead before my time" Ajanaku said and cracked his bones.
"Am sorry, you came to hard"
"it's a good thing, we will continue tomorrow " Ajanaku said and handed his pole over to Remi.
-----
-----
Emi dragged Kokoro right in front of the soldiers that stood at the entrance of the gate that lead to the inner city, he looked at them with the hope of then not recognising him.
"Or today isnt the trade day" He asked and pointed to Kokoro who was bundled tightlywith chains.
"Pass" A soldier said and signaled the gate to be opened.
Emi smiled and dragged Kokoro further, walking some distance he found a dark corner and walked her there.
"That pulling was too hard" Kokoro said and placed her hands on Emi's chest, running her fingers round.
"What are you doing? " Emi asked and slapped her hands off. "I have business toake care of" he said and broke the chains easily like breaking wax.
"Here, change, you can't move in this city with rags, they will grow suspicious" Emi said and gave her a clean set of clothes.
"Will you stand there staring or what? "
Emi got irritated and grabbed the hem of her cloth and tore it off, Kokoro could only grin, knowing she already was dealing with a mad man, a man that sees nothing as serious as it should be, some driving mad with revenge, that any minute of talking was a waste.
"Will you put it on, or I should help you with it"

They gallantly walked towards the direction of the palace, Emi wasn't ready to waste any more moment, his aim was, go in, snap Adele's neck, which will automatically force the white out, if the head is rotten.
Getting to the entrance, like they had already known they were there, thousands of soldiers appeared from every corner of the palace and surrounded them, the whites among them had long sticks with them that also had a long blade shooting from the barrel.

Ajanaku laid on his bed and quickly drifted to sleep, liberating cities was a very hard task to do, even harder for someone with no beast soul and no functioning Heart. Then he saw himself in a trance, right before him was a lady that backed him, Ajanaku walked slowly to her and found himself suddenly in a river at his right was a mermaid that sat on a stone still backing, her tail were golden, with black long hairs that reach to her waist.
"Yemoja" Ajanaku called out and the figure turned to face him.
"Beloved " She said and swam towards him
"Why am I here? "
Yemoja slowly transformed to her human form and within the blink of an eyes, Ajanaku saw himself sitting under a tree, beside him was Yemoja.
"Stop this mind game and tell me what you want"
"I want nothing, am only here to return to you what I took, a long time ago,  an old gift" Yemoja said and placed her hands on Ajanaku's heart region.
"You are returning my heart? " Ajanaku asked with tears almost running from his eyes.
"Hmm, I vowed if you changed, I would return it even with a better one"
Ajanaku gasped and rose from his bed, sweating profusely, he placed his hands on his chest and could feel his heart beating, he smiled and tried summouning his beast soul, which came out furiously, flexing it's muscles,  it had long being imprisoned, it even looked better, a lion with two wings full lethal.
"Come here" Ajanaku said and hugged it before channelling it back into him.
